OPAL PLAYER DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL
|
|
|
|
Print these
instructions to have as a reference while downloading and installing the
Opal Player.
|
|
|
|
BCC Records Search requires
the Opal Player to display graphical data using your existing browser. The
minimum system requirements, download and installation instructions follow.
Please check to make sure that your PC meets the minimum system
requirements for optimum performance.

|
|
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
|
- Hardware:
Pentium class PC, 32MB RAM & 6MB hard disk
- Software:
Windows 95/98, NT, 2000, 2003 or XP (Opal is not supported under
Windows Vista)
- Browser:
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
|
|
Click the link below "Download the Opal
Player". Some browsers will immediately ask you to "Save" the
file and some will prompt you to either "Run this program from its
current location" or "Save this program to disk". If you are
prompted, click on "Save this program to disk". After selecting
the folder you want to save this file to you will then need to click
"Save" and this will start the download. Make a note of the
folder you are saving this file to as you will need to know this in the
next step. Download of this file on an internet connection speed of 28,800
will take approximately 40 to 50 minutes. After the download is complete
you may need to close the download window, if so click close.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
|
|
Locate the player.exe file in the folder you selected to
download it to. Double click the icon associated with the file to start the
"unpacking" of the Opal Player. You will be prompted with a
series of Windows prompts that will need replies. If you are an experienced
PC user you may want to change the standard reply, if not answer the prompt
using the following table:
